We embark upon our adventure on May 1, 2027 at 6 pm. Following dinner, an introduction by the crew, a description of the diving the next day, we have a safety briefing and drill.

• Dive 1: Morning Check Dive: A shallow, relaxed dive at a sheltered local reef near Hurghada. This is used to test weight buoyancy, check equipment functionality, and ensure everyone is comfortable.

• Dive 2: Afternoon Practice Zodiac Dive: A dive at a nearby site to practice deploying from and climbing back into the rigid-hulled inflatable boats (Zodiacs). This skill is mandatory for safely navigating the heavy currents and open-ocean walls at the Brothers, Daedalus, and Elphinstone reefs later in the week.

• Dive 3: Sunset or Night Dive: A final shallow dive near the coast or local reef before the boat anchors. This is highly valued because night diving is strictly illegal once inside the protected offshore National Marine Parks (Brothers and Daedalus).

Following the third dive, the boat begins its 6 to 8-hour overnight navigation south across open water to reach Big Brother Island by the morning of Day 3

Day 3: Big Brother Island (Wrecks & Walls - dives and dive site order dependent upon conditions/weather)

• Logistics: Wake up moored to the lee side of Big Brother, an isolated, 400-meter-long islet.

• Dive 1 (The Numidia Wreck): A spectacular 1901 British cargo ship that ran aground on the northern tip. It rests vertically, starting at 8 meters and dropping past 80 meters. Divers target the engine room and deck frames covered in soft corals.

• Dive 2 (The Aida II Wreck): A 1957 Egyptian military transport ship resting from 25 to 60 meters on the northwest wall. Strong currents require a rapid descent.

• Dive 3 (The South Plateau): A deep drift along the wall to look for grey reef sharks, barracudas, and tuna.

• Evening: The boat moves 1 kilometer south to anchor at Little Brother overnight. No night diving is allowed.

Day 4: Little Brother Island (Pelagic Action)

• Logistics: The boat stays anchored next to this narrow coral pinnacle. Currents here can be strong and unpredictable.

• Dives 1 & 2 (North Point): Deep water drops to seek out large schools of hammerhead sharks or solitary thresher sharks circling the deeper cleaning stations.

• Dive 3 (East Wall): A scenic drift over massive gorgonian fan forests and black coral trees. Look for curious oceanic whitetip sharks (Carcharhinus longimanus) hovering right beneath the liveaboard's dive deck.

• Transit: Following the final dive, the vessel pulls anchors for a lengthy 6-hour southern voyage over open water toward Daedalus Reef.

Day 5: Daedalus Reef (The Hammerhead Kingdom)

• Logistics: You wake up next to a massive, circular reef system featuring an active 19th-century British lighthouse.

• Dives 1 & 2 (North Point Drift): These early morning dives are dedicated to blue-water tracking. Divers drop off the northern tip and swim out into the open water to locate massive, schooling scalloped hammerheads migrating up from the depths.

• Dive 3 (The Elephant Ear & Anemone City): A relaxing drift along the western wall to see giant hard coral formations and a massive colony of anemones.

• Activity: If authorized by military guards, the crew coordinates a late afternoon visit to climb the stairs of the Daedalus Lighthouse for panoramic views of the Red Sea.

• Transit: Overnight navigation heading northwest toward Marsa Alam.

Day 6: Elphinstone Reef (The Deep Drop-Offs)

• Logistics: Arrival at the cigar-shaped finger reef of Elphinstone.

• Dive 1 (North Plateau): A drop directly onto a deep shelf that slopes from 20 down to 40 meters before plummeting into the abyss. Divers look for hammerheads and reef sharks.

• Dive 2 (South Plateau & Arch): Exploration of the southern tip, looking for the famous natural limestone archway located at 55 meters (technical depth limit).

• Dive 3 (East Wall): An afternoon drift utilizing the bright sunlight to view fields of vibrant soft corals. Keep a sharp eye out in the upper water column for oceanic whitetips.

• Transit: Late afternoon departure heading north back toward the Hurghada coast.

Day 7: Hurghada Return & Local Exploration

• Logistics: The yacht arrives near the mainland coast.

• Dives 1 & 2 (Safaga / Hurghada Local): Two shallow, scenic morning reef dives (such as Ras Abu Soma or Sha'ab Sheer). Dives wrap up before noon to give guests a minimum of 24 hours of decompression time prior to flying out the next day.

• Afternoon/Evening: The yacht docks back at the Marriott Resort Marina. Guests can tour downtown Hurghada, shop for local spices or souvenirs, and enjoy a final farewell dinner aboard the boat. [1]

Day 8: Disembarkation

• Logistics: A final breakfast is served onboard.

• Checkout: Cabins must be vacated by 09:00 to 10:00. Group ground transportation is provided directly back to Hurghada International Airport (HRG) or nearby hotels.
